Box Score INDIANOLA, PA - The Daemen Wildcats' quest for their first three-game winning streak since 2006 went for naught today as the Wildcats dropped a 2-0 decision on the road to former conference rival Point Park. Daemen falls to 2-4-0 on the season while Point Park evens its' record at 4-4-0.
Daemen weathered the storm of Pioneer scoring chances long enough to take a 0-0 tie into the locker room at halftime. Point Park launched 14 total shots and racked up seven corner kick opportunities in the opening frame.
The Pioneers finally broke through with a goal by Romida Nanko in the 55th minute. Nanko broke free up the middle after taking a pass from Jonty Loukes and beat Daemen goalkeeper
Matt Daddario (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home HS) with a shot to the upper left portion of the goal.
Ousman Jaiteh made it 2-0 in favor of Point Park when he headed in a crossing feed from Zach Rafalowski in the 68th minute.
Daddario made 13 saves to keep it close for Daemen. His counterparts, Mitchell Kelman an Zak Borzovoy combined for seven saves to share the shutout for the Pioneers.
Daemen returns to action with a road date vs. the New York Institute of Technology - a member of the East Coast Conference - this Wednesday, Sept. 26.
