Box Score

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The Daemen College men's soccer team could not capitalize on the momentum gained from Saturdays's overtime win over Buffalo State College as they dropped a 3-0 decision to The College At Brockport at Huntley Parker Field today.  With the loss, Daemen falls to 2-3-0 on the season while the host Golden Eagles remained unbeaten at 5-0-1.

Brockport, ranked No. 15 in the latest NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III National Poll, got three second half goals from Peter DiLorenzo to provide the winning margin.  All three markers came off DiLorenzo's head on Brockport crossing feeds.

Matthew Roorda assisted on the first DiLorenzo tally in the 68th minute.  The second came just moments later when DiLorenzo dove in the middle of the box to get his head on a pass from Collin Goettel in the 70th minute.  The "hat trick" tally came in the 83rd minute on a feed from David LaPietra.

The two teams played through a scorless first half that saw Daemen put four of its five shots on goal on the scoresheet.

Brockport launched 23 total shots in the game and held an 8-2 advantage in corner kick opportunities.

Junior goalkeeper Matt Daddario (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home) made a season-high 11 saves for Daemen.

Brockport's Casey Sullivan made five sives to pick up his fifth win of the season (5-0-1).

Daemen will look to get back in the win column when they host Queens College in their East Coast Conference opener this Saturday (Sept. 21) at 3:30 p.m.
