HIGHLANDER INVITATIONAL - FULL RESULTS
HOUGHTON, N.Y. - The Daemen College men's indoor track and field team competed tonight at the Highlander Invitational, a meet featuring certain events with 50-plus athletes.
Sophomore Rodney Corbin (Williamsville, N.Y.) continued his impressive season in the 60-meter dash with another first place finish. Corbin finished with a time of 7.02 seconds, just .01 off his school record pace.
Sullivan Keller (Alden, N.Y.) also continued his impressive season in the shot-put with a third place finish out of the 30 athletes that competed. Keller was able to throw 13.67 meters after being unable to throw in the at last week's RIT Invitational.
In a competition with 54 athletes, Mike Swiniarski (Akron, N.Y.) came away with a 22nd place finish in the mile run with a time of 4:45:20.
Drew Greenaway (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Jonny Schmidt (Clarence Center, N.Y.) both had top-ten finishes in the 300-meter dash. Greenaway finished with a 38.98-second run followed up by Schmidt at 39.33 seconds.
Nate Louk (Jane Lew, W. Va.) achieved another top-ten finish for the Wildcats tonight in the 800-meter run with a ninth place finish out of the 44 athletes competing. Louk finished the event in 2:05:17.
The Wildcats will compete again next Saturday, January 26th at the Brockport Multi & Invitational beginning at 10 a.m.
