HARRY F. ANDERSON INVITATIONAL - FULL RESULTS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Redshirt sophomore  Kassandra Nolet (Fort Erie, Ont.) posted a personal-best time and placed 24th out of 221 runners to lead the Daemen College women's cross country team at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational held today on the campus of Roberts Wesleyan College. The 5K race featured 19 competing teams and the Wildcats placed 11th as a team. Roberts Wesleyan took top honors today after placing five runners among the top nine finishers. They were led by race winner Ashley Watson who paced the field with a time of 18:32.3.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Nolet placed 24th overall with a time of 19:57.3, nearly a minute better than her previous personal-best time for a 5K race (20:49.6) that she posted at the 2018 East Coast Conference Championship. Nolet has now been the Wildcats' top finisher in all three races this season.
  • Junior Savannah Warner (Elma, N.Y.), who was Daemen's top finisher in six of seven races last season, placed 33rd overall with a time of 20:11.5. It marks the eighth-straight 5K race that she has broke the 21-minute barrier.
  • Sophomore Sarah Golas (Alden, N.Y) returned to action after sitting out last week's Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational. She came just five seconds shy of matching her personal-best time for the 5K race, as she placed 44th with a time of 20:43.3.
  • Juniors Taya Mucha (Lockport, N.Y.) and Ashley Dusza (Alden, N.Y.) also figured in the scoring for the Wildcats today. Mucha placed 78th with a time of 21:33.7—which was just five seconds shy of her personal-best time for a 5K race set at last year's ECC Championship. Dusza returned to action after missing last week's race and placed 107th with a time of 22:19.6. She has finished among the top-five Daemen runners in her last 10 races.
  • Senior Shania LiVecchi (West Seneca, N.Y.), Junior Mackenzie Tubbs (Elmira, N.Y.) and sophomore Mia Picciano (Auburn, N.Y.) also competed for Daemen today. LiVecchi placed 120th (22:42.0), Tubbs finished 141st (23:35.5) and Picciano placed 171st (26:01.0).
