Keller & Fogle Earn All-Conference Honors

AMHERST, N.Y. - Sullivan Keller (Alden, N.Y.) and Dan Fogle (Lockport, N.Y.) of Daemen College are among the honorees as the All-East Coast Conference men's indoor track and field teams for the 2019-20 season were unveiled Friday. The selection of all-conference teams stems from individual performances at the ECC Indoor Track and Field Championships held February 22 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island. The top two finishers in each event were named to the All-ECC First Team, while the third and fourth place finishers earned All-ECC Second Team distinctions.

Keller, a 6-foot-3 senior thrower, capped an outstanding season by earning All-ECC honors in both the weight throw and shot put. He claimed his first-ever ECC individual title in the weight throw, placing first out of 15 competitors with a throw of 14.52 meters - a distance that narrowly eclipsed his own program record (14.51 meters) in the event which he had set just two weeks prior at the Brockport Multi. He's just the second athlete from the Daemen men's track and field team to earn an ECC individual title during the indoor season, joining Robert Ralyea who claimed the pole vault crown in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Keller's career-best shot put throw of 14.81 meters placed him fourth in that event. It marks the third-straight indoor season that he's earned a top-four finish and All-ECC Second Team honors for the shot put. Keller's stellar collegiate career now includes 10 All-ECC honors combined between indoor and outdoor seasons.

Also a past All-ECC recipient, Fogle adds a third selection to his career resume by virtue of a third place finish in the pole vault. The Daemen sophomore cleared 3.20 meters marking a new personal best in collegiate competition. Fogle was additionally an All-ECC Second Team recipient following the 2018-19 indoor season and earned All-ECC First Team accolades for the 2019 outdoor season when he placed second in the pole vault at the conference championship meet.
