BROCKPORT SPRING INVITATIONAL — FULL RESULTS
BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The Daemen University men's track and field team took part in the Brockport Spring Invitational today. The event took place on the SUNY Brockport campus.
Daemen sent just two athletes to the event and they were expected to take part in the shot put, discus throw, hammer throw and javelin throw. Inclement weather forced the cancelation of several events, including the shot put, discus throw and hammer throw.
The javelin did take place, and sophomore Hessen Bahgat (Fredonia, N.Y.) placed ninth out of 23 entrants with a career best toss of 35.82 meters—eclipsing his previous best effort of 33.06 meters that he set at the University at Buffalo Twilight Meet last April. Sophomore Jake Carroll (Rochester, N.Y.) also took part in the javelin and placed 20th (27.14 meters).
Carroll was also scheduled to take part in the shot put, discus and hammer, while Bahgat was scheduled to take part in the shot put and discus.
