Miranto Named ECC Defensive Player of the Week

AMHERST, N.Y. — Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) of the Daemen women's lacrosse team was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. 

Miranto tied her career high with four caused turnovers and scooped up four ground balls in a 20-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas. She helped the Wildcats record a season-high 21 caused turnovers and tie their season high with 24 ground balls while recording a shutout. Miranto also logged three points with a goal and two assists 

The senior currently leads the Wildcats in caused turnovers with 26. Miranto is fourth in the ECC in total CTs and is third in caused turnovers per game (1.86). She also sits third on the team in total ground balls (25). 

Daemen earned the #3 seed in the ECC Tournament and heads to the #2 seed Roberts Wesleyan on Wednesday for the semifinals at 6 p.m.
