Men's Track & Field 4/12/2014 10:24:00 PM Men's Track & Field Competes At ROC City Invitational FULL RESULTSROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Daemen College men's track and field team put together a solid outing today beneath sunny skies and warm temperatures at the ROC City Invitational hosted by Nazareth College today. The 17-team event went unscored, but Daemen head coach Jessica Gorski was happy with her team's performance nonetheless.It was a pair of freshmen who led the way as Nigel Cordulla (Cheektowaga, N.Y./John F. Kennedy) and Niko Jemmison (Brooklyn, N.Y./Brooklyn Technical) each earned top-10 finishes in their respective events. Cordulla took seventh place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:00.60 while Jemmison finished in ninth place in the 400 meter dash, running that sprint in 52.60 seconds.Classmate Alex Reid (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) enjoyed a solid meet as well, finishing 13th in the 100 meter dash (11.70 seconds) and ninth in the long jump (6.36 meters).Gorski got additional production from junior runner Travis Enser (West Valley, N.Y./West Valley Central) and sophomore sprinter Brandon Tytka (Lancaster, N.Y./St. Mary's of Lancaster). Enser finished in 14th place in the 400 meter dash (53.88 seconds) while Tytka was Daemen's top finisher - 17th place - in the 200 meter dash (24.12 seconds).Daemen returns to action next Saturday (April 19) when they compete in the East Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Lakewood, N.J.
