Havert Earns ECC Defensive Player of the Week 4/20/2026 8:00:00 PM By: CONTACT: Connor Griffin, Assistant Director of Athletics Communications | cgriffin@daemen.edu AMHERST, N.Y. — The ECC announced its women's lacrosse weekly awards on Monday, with Jenna Havert (Newark, N.Y.) being named Defensive Player of the Week. Havert logged seven caused turnovers and collected four ground balls in two games last week. She led the team and tied her career-high with four CTs while collecting two ground balls in a 16-9 win over D'Youville last Wednesday. Havert helped the Wildcats hold the Saints to nine goals while tying their team high in ground balls (14) and caused turnovers (24) in a game. The senior also led Daemen with three caused turnovers and scooped up two ground balls against Roberts Wesleyan. Havert has posted five games with three-plus caused turnovers and eight multi-ground ball games. The defender ranks second on the team in caused turnovers (21) and ground balls (28). Havert also sits fifth in the ECC in caused turnovers per game (1.62) and is 10th in ground balls per game (2.15). The Wildcats wrap up the regular season hosting St. Thomas Aquinas for senior day on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Royal Park.
