Daemen: Bobby McColl enters his first season at the helm for Daemen after spending the last three seasons as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Roberts Wesleyan College...McColl's tenure at Roberts Wesleyan notably came during that program's ascent to the NCAA Division II level of competition, compiling a 35-20-5 record in that span, including a 12-5-3 mark last season in which McColl led the Redhawks to an apparance in the East Coast Conference Tournament finals and at-large berth in the NCAA Division II National Championships....prior to his time in Rochester, McColl served for one season as the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Greenville College (Ill.), leading that NCAA Division III program to a 10-6-3 mark and a second-place finish in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference...a native of Glasgow, Scotland, McColl came stateside to compete collegiately, playing three season at Union University (Tenn.) before finishing his career at Trinity International University (Ill.).

Roberts Wesleyan: Scott Reber is in his second season as Head Men's Soccer Coach at Roberts Wesleyan...in his first season at the helm, Reber guided the Redhawks to 10-7-2 overall record while finishing 5-4-1 in the East Coast Conference...a 1986 graduate of RWC, Reber played for Roberts Wesleyan and was a member of the 1985 East Region Division 1 NCCAA Championship team that qualified for and competed in the NCCAA National Soccer Championship...prior to being named head coach, Reber was an assistant twice with stints from 2002-2004 and the 2011-2014 seasons...during those six years, RWC was ranked in the NAIA Top 25, went to the NCCAA National Tournament four times, made an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament, and won the American Mideast Conference (AMC) Tournament title in 2011. |

| Daemen returns 13 players from last year's team that finished 2-13-1 overall and 0-9-1 in the East Coast Conference…first-year head coach Bobby McColl returns the team's top two scorers and starting goalkeeper from last year...…sophomore Kyle Tracy and senior Alex Reid shared the team lead in scoring last season, both posting 10 points....Tracy's point total came on his team-leading five goals...Reid has scored 13 goals in his career and totaled 33 points heading into his final season for the Wildcats...sophomore net-minder Justin Figler played every second of every game last season as a true freshman, finishing second in the ECC with 88 saves...also back is senior forward Cole Beale who notched a team-high five goals and 11 points in 2014…in the midfield, Daemen returns a pair of veterans in Nick Sammarco and Logan Podrebarac...Sammarco has made 34 starts in his career to date while Podrebarac started in 14 of his 15 appearances last season while posting five points...senior Austin Stephany returns to anchor the Wildcat defense...he's made 30 appearances in the last two seasons, including 29 starts, since transferring from Division I Buffalo...newcomers who are expected to make an immediate impact include senior forward Colin Edwards, a transfer from Tiffin University, and freshmen backs Kyle White and Joe Keem...Daemen was picked 10th in the 2016 ECC preseason poll...Daemen snapped an 11-game slide dating back to last season with a 1-0 win at D'Youville on Sept. 11...freshman forward Ali Shawish netted the first goal of his career which stood up as the game-winner...since then, Daemen has suffered five consecutive defeats and is coming off losses at Queens (3-2) and Molloy (4-0) this past weekend..Edwards netted his first goal of the year in the loss to Queens, while Beale scored his second goal of the year...Shawish leads the Wildcats in points (6), shots (34) and shots on goal (12)...additional offensive production has come from Beale (2 gls, 1 ast, 5 pts, 19 shots) and Edwards (1 gl, 3 asts, 5 pts, 18 shots)...Figler has made eight starts between the pipes, and he ranks third among ECC goalkeepers with 37 total saves...he posted the second shutout of his career in the win over D'Youville. |

| Roberts Wesleyan returns four of the top five scorers from last year's team that finished 10-7-2 overall and 5-4-1 in the East Coast Conference...RWC was picked sixth in the 2016 ECC preseason poll…head coach Scott Reber welcomes back all-conference defender Kehinde Aderounmu and senior midfielder Malcolm Shaw, who totaled a team-high 11 goals and 25 points last year and collected All-ECC honors…the Redhawks snapped a seven-game winless streak (0-6-1) following a 2-1 (2 OT) win at Queens this past weekend...Shaw tied the game at 1-1 in the 81st minute and junior midfielder Scott Carson netted the game-winner with just 1:18 left in the second overtime…Shaw has totaled a team-high six goals and 12 points, while additional production has come from junior back Sam Moody (3 gls, 3 asts) and junior midfielder John Stewart (1 gl, 1 ast)…junior John Ciavaglia (2.19 GAA) has started eight games between the pipes and has posted a league-high 43 saves...he made seven saves in the win over Queens this past weekend. |
