A native of East Aurora, N.Y., Sarah Soroka left a permanent imprint on the women’s basketball record book and was inducted into the Daemen Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011. In a four-year career spanning 2007-11, Soroka appeared in 122 games and became only the second player in program history to reach the 2,000-point plateau. She finished her career with 2,130 points and added program records of 1,077 rebounds and 336 blocked shots. A member of the Daemen’s 2007-08 AMC North Division championship team, Soroka led the Wildcats to the NAIA National Tournament “Sweet 16” in 2011 when she was named a First Team All-American and the AMC Player of the Year. A four-team All-AMC selection, Soroka was named the AMC Player of the Week 11 times in her career.
