Hall of Fame
A standout member of the Daemen men’s basketball team from 2002-06, Thereon Blackwell was inducted into the Daemen Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006. During his career, he led the team to an AMC North Division Championship (2005-06), an AMC Championship (2003-04), and to the NAIA National Tournament Elite Eight (2003-04). After being named to the AMC North All-Freshmen Team in 2003, Blackwell went on to be an honorable mention All-AMC North selection as a senior when he also served as the team’s captain. He was the team’s Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore. Blackwell appeared in 125 games and totaled 1,069 points, 413 rebounds, 438 assists and 185 steals in his career.
